2 cups Milk 1/2 cup Sugar.

1 tablespoon Cornstarch.

2 Egg Yolks Pinch of Salt.

1 teasp. Rum Flavoring.


1 cup crushed Strawberries with 1/2 cup Sugar 1/2 pint whipping Cream 6 Patty Shells.

Mix milk, sugar and salt and bring to a boil. Dissolve cornstarch in 1/4 cup cold water. Pour hot milk over the cornstarch and cook until it thickens. Beat egg yolk and add to hot milk mixture. Blend well. Add rum flavoring and cool. To serve, put 2 tablespoons of the custard in the bottom of each patty shell; then a table-spoonful of crushed strawberries. Top with whipped cream. Serve very cold.
