Metasilicates are derivatives of the acid H2SiO3; the constitutional formula is 0=Si(OH)2, like that of carbonic acid. Examples of metasilicates are:-
Wollastonite.
Augite or Hornblende.
Jade.
The potassium salt is Leucite.
