3 teaspoonfuls baking powder 1 1/2 cupfuls sugar.
1 cupful sweet milk.
2 tablespoonfuls butter.
1 teaspoonful lemon extract.
3 eggs.
Bake in layer tins. The whites of six eggs may be used, if a white cake is preferred, instead of the three whole eggs. Put together as follows: boiled frosting 3 bananas rind and juice of one lemon.
Put boiled frosting between each layer and place over the frosting bananas cut in thin slices, the pieces joining each other closely. Sprinkle each layer with a little lemon juice and grated peel, and stir a little of the grated peel into the frosting used over the top of the cake.
