If a person has suffocated from inhaling gas or smoke, or from chokmg or hanging, get him into the fresh air a? quietly as possible, loosen his clothing, sprinkle ccld water on face and bare chest, and, if he still fails to breathe, perform artificial respiration as for drowning. Then apply heat and give a stimulant.
