3/4 cup Swift'ning.
1 cup sugar.
1 cup molasses 4 cups sifted flour.
1 teaspoon salt.
1 teaspoon soda.
2 teaspoons cinnamon 2 teaspoons ginger.
3/4 cup water.
Cream Swift'ning and sugar together. Add the eggs. Mix well. Add the molasses. Sift flour, salt, soda, and spices together and add alternately with water. Drop by teaspoonfuls (size of walnut) on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake.
Cookies spread just slightly during baking. These are cake-like cookies. Keep in covered tin to assure cookies retaining their softness. Cookies are 2 inches in diameter after baking.
