One pound of flour, one pound of white sugar, one-half pound of butter, one pound of currants, one-half pint of cream, four eggs, a teaspoonful of soda, Spice to taste. Leave out the currants and it makes a nice plain cake.

Blanch and chop the almonds, seed and chop the raisins, cut citron in small pieces and flour all the fruit before stirring in the cake. Bake in a slow oven. Mrs. Bunn.
